The number of years of study required for one to be eligible for this post varies according to the specific field of horticulture. It ranges from two to five years. Besides, there is a professional certification available for those who want to become a professional horticulturist. These certifications are available from the Horticulture Accreditation Council.
It can be said that the horticulture industry is a vibrant one with lots of job opportunities for people skilled in this field. However, the growing popularity of green houses has made it more competitive. This is why many people get involved in this industry. In order to succeed in this field, you should have the dedication, hard work and the desire to learn.
